Dogecoin Foundation Developer Explains How ‘RadioDoge’ Enables DOGE Transactions by People Without Internet Access

The developers of Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) will use radio technology in conjunction with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network to enable offline DOGE transactions.

What happened
In an April 11 blog post by the Dogecoin Foundation, developers Timothy Stebbing and Michi Lumin described how “RadioDoge” allows people without internet access to perform DOGE transactions.

They stated: “RadioDoge will use inexpensive and reliable radio technology (HF/LoRaWAN) combined with Starlink’s global satellite network to provide affordable large-scale access to Dogecoin for those without access to traditional internet infrastructure. “

Lumin established RadioDoge’s “regional center” over the weekend, which will provide a testing ground for new technologies.

This week, developers expect the first transaction to form in Libdogecoin to be broadcast over a 150-mile radius, from HF Radio in Colorado to regional centers.

The regional center will then send the transaction to the Dogecoin test via the Starlink satellite.

“While there is still a long way to go, these are very exciting first steps towards the goal of turning the Dogecoin into an unstoppable financial instrument, achieving financial freedom from power structures and providing a medium of exchange for future generations. future,”Stebbing and Lumin said.

At the time of writing, it is unclear whether SpaceX and Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk is aware of the role of Starlink satellites in the new Dogecoin feature being developed.
