In a recent interview with cryptocurrency trader Scott Melker, Draper said he thinks Bitcoin could hit 250,000 by the end of this year or early next year.

Draper noted that he expects the floodgates to open once a Bitcoin payment processor like OpenNode “penetrates the system.”

“What could happen is that women will start using bitcoin, I don’t know exactly when.”

The investor added that the number of women who own bitcoin has increased from one in four to one in six. She hopes that over time, the number of women and men who own bitcoin will level out.

“The way to balance it is for women to control about 80 percent of retail spending,” commented Draper, adding that retailers could save 2 percent of their profits by accepting bitcoin instead of bank-issued credit cards.

“It can change everything. Suddenly, all women are going to have bitcoin wallets and buy things with bitcoin, and you’ll see bitcoin going over my estimate of $250,000.”
